It's a snow day today! School is, of course cancelled, and we are playing. I love living next door to cousins, especially at times like these. They are so good to my kids.

Stanley Visits
This is Stanley. He came to visit us from Emma and Grace in Utah. With it being winter, we had to be creative with the fun things he could do (especially since Medford's best touristy times are in the summer and around the great outdoors). We took him around Harry and David (an excuse to eat fudge) played around the house and sent some pictures back of his travels.
The funny thing is I used to do this when I was a teacher. We'd read the book Flat Stanley and then send him in the mail across the world. I had heard about the idea from my cousin in LA who sent me her Flat Stanley when I was in high school. I guess it's an idea that's been around a while.

Love at home
There is beauty all around, when there's love at home. I'm so grateful for all the love in this home...Happy Valentine's Day!

Mommy Daughter Date
For my dear friend, Emily's birthday we took our girls to Hot Pots to paint some little treasures. Mary painted a dragon fly and I made a plate to be used for birthdays. It was a lot of fun and a nice excuse to get away from the house while Aaron stayed with the rest of the kids. I love this little one on one time with the kids. I had such a great time talking with her in the car ride and doing something out of the ordinary.

Valentine Brunch
Mary invited a few of her new Kindergarten friends over to a little Valentine's tea party. These china plates were my Amatchi's old set. They are feminine and sweet, perfect for any little girl's tea party. Mary has some nice friends in her class at school.
