Heaven is Here

I wonder often what the next life will be like. I wonder if our loved ones can witness special events like the marriage of my dear cousin and Rick. I'd like to believe that my grandparents were here today, at least in my heart. I'm feeling grateful for them today.

I loved the accordion music. It made me feel close to my heritage.
My cousin loves Disney. Sweet wedding!

It Begins and The Original Six

Today we broke ground on this soon-to-be beauty. It will sure change our summers and I am beyond excited.

We left for Nicole's wedding in Reno this afternoon with the original six. I think the last time we were together like this was just after Damian's mission in 1995!!! We had so much fun reminiscing and reuniting with our Maitia cousins.

We had to push through a little bit of snow, but other than that, the trip was great.

Dinner the night before. We got to meet Bobby's darling girlfriend. Missing in the photo are Nicole, Tanta Mayie, Rick,  and Edene (taking the photo).

The Trio and Vacancy

I accompanied Noah on his field trip to the arboretum today. I cherish these times I get to be with Noah, and he fills my heart with so much love...he's not the slightest bit embarrassed that I'm his mom. Since Christine and Tiffany also came they were in separate groups, but I noticed that the trio found their way to each other during lunch.

I noticed that Cameron's worm hotel was sitting on top of the mantle this morning. I wasn't sure why it was up there because it had been relocated to a lovely outdoor accommodation. When I asked him about it he said that the worm was happy in his little home when he put it there earlier. I then realized that the worm was somewhere roaming our house. Don't worry we found it dead under the fireplace vent later this evening. He must have had a long fall.

Mini Missionary and Worm Hotel

Mary loved activity days tonight. She was called on a one hour mission to Madagascar. The sister missionaries spoke and she came home excited telling us all about the little practice door scenarios they role played. If she goes on a full-time mission one day, I know she'll be amazing!

While we were relocating plants outside this evening, I noticed Cameron quietly working on a little art project. Looking back I can see that he was acting a little suspicious everytime I walked by. When I asked to see what he created that's when I realized what he was up to...making a home for the worm he found outside. I informed him that he needed to keep the worm home outside, he asked disappointedly, "Can I keep him if he is crusty (meaning dead!).

Hmmmm. Nope. And please don't kill him so you can keep him inside.

Good-bye Gold Beach

I'm sad to leave the coast. It was gorgeous today with hardly any wind. We listened to the morning session of conference and started to head home. With a stop at another little coastal town for lunch we made it back just a little after the second conference session finished. We listened to as much of it as we could on the car ride (when we had coverage) and finished the rest after we unloaded.

All the tulips and daffodils in the front of the house welcomed us home.

Subway by the sea

Just one more nap for these teens, and preteens. So sad to see Spring Break end.
