Baby Basket and Birthday

Today I delivered a beautiful baby basket for our friend Stephanie who is having a baby girl. Since she didn't want any fuss with a shower or night out we thought we'd shower her with a something sentimental. Over 20 sisters in our ward recommended their favorite children's book, an idea thought of by my friend Beka. We bought the books and had the sisters write in each of them about why they loved the story and any note to her personally. I was so touched by the sweet feelings of motherhood many of them shared with her. This idea will need to be repeated. What a fun way to welcome a new spirit into the world.

We also had the sisters over for dinner. It is Sister Haugen's birthday. We made it as special as we could with her favorite gluten free foods, dessert with all my brothers and their families, and the gift of toilet paper...something they really needed. We just love our missionaries.
