Cousin Swap

"Are we going to do the swap?", Nicole's question to Tiffany when she came over to grab the boys, drop off the girls' overnight essentials, and complete the all-exciting Friday Night Switcheroo. After trying to decipher her question for just a moment Tiffany replied with a smile, "Yes, Nikki...we're going to do the swap!"

Despite Nicole's early rise of 4am this morning, she managed to keep up with the big kids long enough to fall asleep upstairs way past her normal bedtime and again without her binky. It's been five days now without it at night. She hasn't been sleeping as long or continuous at night however, and so a couple of times this week she has needed to suck a binky for a few minutes to calm her exhausted self. She grabs it out of the kitchen drawer, sucks and soothes, and puts it back. That's a lot of self mastery, in my opinion. She is close. Really close.
