I don't want pets. Ever. Hermit crabs are great pets for people who are not into the whole cleaning, feeding, playing thing. Hermie is still alive and costing us nothing. However every time I do the dishes and glance over at our motionless Hermie I begin to worry about his quality of life. It has to be boring sitting in a box all day, and I feel inhumane keeping him in an isolated prison cell. So, for Family Night tonight I suggested we get Hermie a friend. I strategically waited in the car while they ran into the pet store to keep up my tough guy facade. I mean, I don't want this to lead to a more high maintenance pet. Ever.
