Today was the culminating event of a lot of time, planning and effort from my visionary father-in-law, dedicated Dixie State administrators, loyal community supporters, and hopeful state legislators. After a wonderful free Dixie breakfast we were able to witness Governor Herbert sign Dixie State as Southern Utah's newest University. Yesterday we toured the new Holland Student Center, which was remarkable. Dixie is strong and revitalized and all these accomplishments are worthy of some delicious red velvet cake. Congratulations to my wonderful mother-in-law and father in-law...you did it!
